About Us:
The main function of the sub-programme: Land Use Management is to protect the agricultural land of the Western Cape with the aim of maintaining a sustainable agricultural sector.
This is done by providing advice and comments to clients on applications for subdivision and /or rezoning of agricultural land.
Application for Sub-Division or Rezoning of Agricultural Land:
The applicant must:
- Submit the application form together with documents to our office. Contact person: Mr Cor van der Walt.
- Submit the application to the National Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for approval/non approval (Act 70 of 1970).
- Submit the application to the Local Government (COCT – Municipality) for approval (Land Use Planning Ordinance no 15 of 1985).
