Cumulative Chill Units June 2011 update
Cumulative Chill Units (CCU) data ranging from May 2011 up to September 2011 are summarized in the following graphs, which are updated on a monthly basis. Data was obtained from weather stations located at Elsenburg (near Stellenbosch), Langgewens (near Malmesbury), Oudtshoorn, Zandvliet (near Robertson), Outeniqua (near George), and Voorstekop (near Heidelberg). The approach is to compare this month's CCU with the long term mean for each of these weather stations.
No graph was obtained from Zandvliet for this month. From all the illustrated the graphs below, it is observed that in comparison to the long term, higher CCUs for this year were recorded, probably due to colder weather this year.
