Cumulative Chill Units
CCU data from July is depicted in the adjacent graphs. Obviously all graphs indicate an increase in CCU during winter months. Below normal CCU (i.e. less than the long-term mean) were measured at the Oudtshoorn and Zandvliet Weather stations, while above normal CCU were recorded at Elsenburg and Outeniqua weather stations. The weather station at Langgewens gave CCU that was reasonably similar to that of the long term.
