As the weather patterns change with the transition to summer, the southerly to easterly component becomes more dominant.  Very strong winds occurred around the 25th and 26th over the Cape – most of the wind roses shows this event with values in the strong category with the easterly or southerly winds.

Northerly and northwesterly winds also dominated at this station with a larger proportion of time with no wind than on average or during October 2008.
