At Elsenburg and Januarieskraal, the wind had a slightly stronger westerly component than during January 2008 and the long-term. However, the strongest component was still from the south.

At both Tygerhoek and Voorstekop, the wind was mainly from the southeast, as is the case for January 2008 and the long-term average.
Voorstekop
January 2009 winds are mostly from the southeast as well as the January 2008 and the long-term mean.
