Temperature – February 2008
Minimum temperatures in February 2009 ranged between 12 and 19°C.
Monthly mean maximum temperatures ranged between 21 and 33°C with higher values recorded over the northern parts and lower values over the mountainous areas in the southwest.
Temperature – February 2009 compared to February 2008
The daily minimum temperatures in February 2009 for the Western Cape averaged mostly between 12°C and 18°C.
Mean monthly minimum temperatures were generally slightly lower than in February 2009.
Temperature – February 2009 compared with long-term
Minimum temperatures during February 2009 were higher than average over especially the southwestern parts and below average in the northeast.
Monthly maximum temperatures for the Western Cape were above normal over the western parts of the province and near normal over the rest of the province except around the Overberg where temperatures were slightly below average.
