Heat units – March 2009
Heat units for March 2009 over the Western Cape ranged between 200 and 500GDD with most places recording monthly heat units between 300GDD and 400GDD. Highest values occurred over the low-lying interior.
Heat units – October to March 2009 compared with long-term
Cumulative heat units for October 2008 to March 2009 are mostly between 1000GDD and 2500GDD with lower values occurring over the mountainous areas.
Heat units – October 2008 to March 2009 compared with long-term
Cumulative heat units October 2008 to March 2009 were less than during the same period a year before over the western parts and somewhat more over the northeastern parts.
