Heat units for February 2008 over the Western Cape were mostly between 400 and 600 GDD.

Cumulative heat units for October to February 2008 were mostly between 1000 GDD and 2000 GDD.
Heat units – October to February 2008 compared with previous year
Cumulative heat units for October to February 2008 were mostly less than to the ones accumulated in the previous year with exception of the West Coast which recorded more or similar heat units recorded in the previous year.
Heat units – October to February 2008 compared with long term
Accumulated heat units for October to February 2008 were above normal over the West Coast, Cape Town and Overberg, while the central and eastern parts accumulated normal to below normal heat units.
