During August 2007 there was a stronger component from the northeast than during last year and the long-term average.

Calm situations and the northwesterly wind were more prevalent than last year and the long-term average during this month. There was a decrease wind from the south compared to the long-term and last year. These wind anomalies are also reflected in rainfall distribution during this year as opposed to last year.
Tygerhoek
Predominant winds for August 2007 are light to gentle from the west (39.7%) and northwest, while there ia a larger contribution from the southwest considering the average situation.
Voorstekop
Calm conditions and a flow from the northwest were more dominant during this year than on average and during the previous year.
