During June 2007 winds light to strong gusting to gale force wind recorded mainly from the north (32%) and southeast (26.7%). During June 2006 winds were mostly from the southeast (28.9%), north (17.1%) and south (16%), while the long-term winds are mostly from north, east and the southeast.
Januarieskraal
During June 2007 winds were predominantly light to moderate northerly (25.4%) and southerly (18%). Winds experienced in June 2006 were mostly from the south to the southeast, while the long-term average winds are predominantly light to moderate southerly.
Tygerhoek
Predominant winds for June 2007 were light to gentle from the west (36%) to the northwest (22.4%). In June 2006 winds were analogous in strength and direction to the winds during this year, while the long-term winds are mostly southerly to southwesterly.
Voorstekop
Even though it was mostly calm (48.9%), during June 2007 winds were light to gentle predominantly from the northwest (34.8%). In June 2006 and in the long-term, the situation was very similar.
