The wind during May 2007 was mostly light from the southeast (33.7%), south (17.4%) and north (15.3%). In May 2006 winds were mostly from the north and southeast, while the long-term winds are mostly from southeast, east and the north.
Januarieskraal
The wind during May 2007 for Januarieskraal was predominantly southerly (34.3%). Winds experienced in May 2006 were mostly from the northwest and the south while the long-term average is predominantly light from the south, followed by northwest and the southwest.
Tygerhoek
Predominant winds for May 2007 were from the west (36.8%). During May 2006 winds were also light mostly from the west, while the long-term winds are from the west to the southwest.
Voorstekop
Even though it was mostly calm (57.2%), the wind during May 2007 was light predominantly from the northwest (17.4%) to the west (12%). In May 2006 and on average during May the situation was the same.
