Temperature – October 2007
Minimum temperatures in October 2007 for the Western Cape ranged from 3°C to 15°C. Most coastal places recorded temperatures between 9°C and 12°C.
Most places in the Western Cape recorded maximum temperatures between 21°C and 27°C except for some parts of the Central Karoo and northern West Coast with mean monthly maximum temperatures of over 27°C and below 21°C over the high-lying areas.

Mean monthly minimum temperatures in October 2007 for the Western Cape were more or less similar to the previous year.
Mean monthly maximum temperatures in October 2007 for the Western Cape were more or less similar to the previous year with the deviation ranging between -1°C and 1°C for most places. The northeastern areas were cooler.
Temperature – October 2007 compared with long-term
Minimum temperatures during October 2007 were below normal for the Central Karoo, some parts of Boland and the West Coast district, while normal to above-normal temperatures were evident over the Overberg, southern West Coast and southern Eden.
Monthly maximum temperatures for the Western Cape were mostly normal to above normal for the whole province with the deviations from normal mainly ranging from -1°C to 4°C. Positive deviations occurred especially in the west.
