Temperature – July 2007

Minimum temperatures in July 2007 over most parts of the Western Cape ranged between 0°C and 6°C. The coastal areas, especially in the southwest, were somewhat warmer.

Mean monthly maximum temperatures for the Western Cape mostly ranged from 9°C to 24°C, with most places recording temperatures from 15°C to 21°C.


Temperature – July 2007 compared to July 2006

Mean monthly minimum temperatures for July 2007 for entire Western Cape were lower than during the previous year.

The province recorded more or less similar maximum temperatures to the previous year with the deviations from -1°C to 1°C. The northern paerts of the west coast were somewhat warmer.


Temperature – July 2007 compared with long-term

Minimum temperatures during July 2007 were below normal for most parts of the province with the exception of Cape Town, Boland and southern West Coast.

The province recorded slightly higher than average maximum temperatures.
