Temperature – April 2007
Minimum temperatures in April 2007 for most areas in the Western Cape ranged between 9°C and 12°C. Some areas of the southern and southwestern parts of the province recorded temperatures between 12°C and 15°C, while the high-lying areas recorded temperatures below 9°C.
Maximum temperatures for the Western Cape ranged from 18°C to 30°C. Most places recorded temperatures between 24°C and 30°C.

Temperature – April 2007 compared to April 2006
Mean monthly minimum temperatures for April 2007 for Western Cape were similar to the previous year, with up to deviations of -1°C to 1°C.
Most parts of Boland, Overberg, Eden and Central Karoo recorded higher temperatures than during the previous year, while the western parts of the Boland recorded lower temperatures. More or less similar maximum temperatures to the previous year are evident at the West Coast district and some parts of the Central Karoo and Eden districts.

Temperature – April 2007 compared with long-term
Minimum temperatures during April 2007 were below normal to near normal for the West Coast, Central Karoo and Eden. The remaining districts recorded near normal to above normal temperatures.
Maximum temperatures during April 2007 were above normal for the entire province with the exception of few places over the Boland, Overberg and Cape Town which recorded near normal temperatures.
