Temperature – March 2007
Minimum temperatures in March 2007 for most areas in the Western Cape ranged between 9°C and 15°C..
Maximum temperatures for most places over the Western Cape ranged from 27°C to 33°C, with the exception of the coastal area extending from Cape Town to Knysna and high-lying areas which recorded temperatures between 24°C and 27° and 21°C to 27°C respectively.

Temperature – March 2007 compared to February 2006
Mean monthly minimum temperatures for March 2007 for Western Cape were mostly higher than in the previous year, with up to deviations of 4°C. The tendency increased eastward.
Mean monthly maximum temperatures for March 2007 for Western Cape were predominantly lower than during the previous year, especially in the west. Deviations ranged between -6°C and 0°C.

Temperature – March 2007 compared with long-term
Minimum temperatures during March 2007 were below normal to near normal over most parts of the province with the exceptions of the south to the southwestern parts of the province, which recorded above normal mean minimum temperatures.
Maximum temperatures during March 2007 were mostly near normal to above normal, with the deviation from the long-term mean ranging from -1°C to +3°C.
