Rainfall May 2007
The lowest rainfall is evident over the entire Central Karoo and northern West Coast district. Conversely, the highest amounts of total monthly rainfall of over 150 mm occurred over the Boland district. Most parts of the province recorded rainfall between 30 mm and 100 mm. An intense frontal system around the 18th was responsible for most of the precipitation.

Monthly rainfall for May 2007 is mostly below normal to near normal for the most parts of the Central Karoo and northern West Coast whole, while the remainder of the province (including the important wheat-producing areas) recorded near normal to above normal rainfall.
