Rainfall March 2007

Total rainfall for most places in March ranged between 5 mm and 30 mm with the exceptions of the Eden and some parts of the Boland district.  The highest amounts (up to 200 mm) are evident over the vicinity of Mosselbaal, George and Kynsna in the southeastern parts of the province.  Most of this rain fell during the first few days of the month.

March 2007 compared with long-term

Most places over the districts of the West Coast, Boland, Overberg and the central Karoo received below normal to near normal rainfall in March, while the southern parts of the South Coast, Cape Town and western parts of the Eden received near normal to above normal rainfall in March 2007.
