Rainfall January 2007

Monthly rainfall for most places in January was in between 5 mm and 30 mm. Over the western part of the province less than 5 mm were recorded at most places. Relatively high rainfall totals of over 40 mm were recorded over areas around Merweville, George and Knysna.

January 2007 compared with long-term

Most places in the Western Cape recorded below normal monthly rainfall with a few exceptions over the Central Karoo and some patches of the Boland district where near normal to above normal monthly rainfall occurred.
