The NDVI for the 21 - 30 November 2007 was lower than during the previous year over the Eden, Overberg and western parts of the Central Karoo. The other regions recorded more or less similar values to the previous year.
21 – 31 November 2007 compared with the long-term mean
The NDVI is mostly near normal to above normal over the northern parts and below normal over some areas in the south. It is expected that the index will become above normal over the southern parts as a result of the heavy rainfall during the latter part of the month.

Percentage of Average Seasonal Greenness (PASG) for September to November shows near normal to above normal vegetative conditions in most places.
