21 – 31 August 2007 compared with 21 – 31 August 2006
The NDVI for the 21 - 31 August 2007 is mostly similar or slightly higher than in the previous year western parts of the province and lower over the eastern parts – a result of the difference in rainfall distribution between the two years.
21 – 31 August 2007 compared with the long-term mean
The NDVI is mostly normal to above normal for the most parts of the province with the exception of some places Central Karoo district.
PASG for June to August compared with the long-term mean
The Percentage of Average Seasonal Greenness (PASG) for June to August shows normal to above-normal vegetative conditions in most places, except most parts of the Central Karoo.
