21 – 31 January 2007 compared with 21 – 31 January 2006
The NDVI for the 21 - 31 January 2007 is mostly similar to or higher than during the previous year (2006) over most parts except for the eastern Central Karoo with lower vegetation activity than during the previous year.

21 – 31 January 2007 compared with the long-term mean
Compared to the long-term mean, the NDVI is mostly normal over most parts of the province with the exceptions of the eastern parts of Eden and some patches over Overberg where above normal vegetation occurred during January 2007.
