Heat units – October 2007
Heat units for October 2007 over the Western Cape ranged between 100 and 300 GDD, with the exception of the high-lying areas which recorded fewer than 100 GDD.
Heat units – October 2007 compared with October 2006
Heat units for October 2007 were less than those accumulated in the previous year for most parts of the Central Karoo, Boland and eastern Eden districts. In contrast, the West Coast and Cape Town accumulated more heat units.
Heat units – October 2007 compared with long-term mean
Accumulated heat units for October 2007 were above normal for most parts of the province with the exception of the Central Karoo and Boland districts.
