Heat units for April 2007
Heat units for April 2007 over the Western Cape were mostly between 200 and 300GDD with lower values over the high lying areas.
Cumulative heat units recorded from October 2006 to April 2007 for the Western Cape province ranged mostly from 1500GDD to 2500GDD.

Heat units – October to April 2007 compared with previous year and the long term.
Cumulative heat units recorded from October to April 2007 were more or less similar to the previous year with the percentage deviation of -5% to 5%.
Accumulated heat units from October to April 2007 were near normal to above normal for most parts of the province. Above-normal accumulated heat units occurred over the southwestern parts.
