Heat units for February 2007
Heat units for February 2007 over the Western Cape mostly ranged between 300 and 400GDD. There are small areas scattered over the whole province that recorded below 300GDD.
Cumulative heat units recorded from October 2006 to February 2007 for the Western Cape province ranged mostly between 1500GDD to 2000GDD. Less heat units were recorded over the coastal areas and the Boland.

Heat units – October to February 2007 compared with previous year and the long term.
While there were tendencies for more cumulative heat units during this year over the eastern parts of the province, less heat units have been accumulated over the western pats than during the previous year.
Accumulated heat units from October to February 2007 were near normal to above normal for the whole province. The highest positive deviations are evident over the south to the southwestern parts of the province.
