Winds during December 2006 were predominantly light from the south (42.6%) to the southeast (23.2%). This is more or less similar to the situation during last year, but the long-term winds are mostly from the southeast to the south.

Prevailing wind during December 2006 were mostly light from the south (57.1%). This is more or less similar to the situation during December 2005 and the long-term average.

Tygerhoek

The wind during December 2006 was mostly light prevailing from the southeast (18.3%), west (17.9%) and the east (16.8%). During last year the wind direction was from west (22.4%), southeast (21.9%) and the east (20.9%), while the long-term average winds directions are mainly from southeast, east and the west.

Voorstekop

Even though it was mostly calm (33.2%), winds in December 2006 dominated from south (19.2%) to the southeast (14.7%). The winds during December 2005 were mostly from the southeast (27%) to the south (15%), while the long-term average winds are mostly south-easterly.
