Elsenburg

During December 2005 winds were predominantly light southerly (39.7%) to southeasterly (29.3%). These winds slightly differ in direction to December 2004 and the long-term winds which blew mostly from the southeast (27.7%; 26.2% respectively) followed by southerly (25; 20.3% respectively) and then easterly (16%; 13.1% respectively).

Januarieskraal

Prevailing winds for December 2005 were mostly from the south (62.4%) and southwest (15.4%). Winds experienced in December 2004 and the long-term average winds are analogous in both magnitude and direction to the December 2005 winds.

Tygerhoek

Predominant winds for December 2005 were from the west (22.4%) followed by the southeast (21.9%) and east (20.9% respectively). The winds experienced in the previous year were slightly different with light winds from east (24.8%) followed by southeasterly winds (23.5%) and westerly winds (16.9%). The long-term winds blew from the southeast (24.3%), east (17.9%) and southwest (17.1%).

Oudtshoorn

Light winds mainly from the southeast (24.9%), southwest (11.8%) and east (11.3%) prevailed in the month of December 2005. These winds slightly differ in direction to the December 2004 winds and the long-term average winds which blew mostly from the east (26.6; 25.2% respectively) to the southeast (17.8%; 16% respectively).

Voorstekop

During December 2005 winds were light predominantly from the southeast to the southwest, while the winds experienced in December 2004 and the long-term winds are largely from the southeast (>30%).
