Canola plays an important role as a break-crop in a sustainable production system with small grain crops in the Western Cape. It also reduces problems with root diseases and weed control.
For this reason, knowledge of pests that attack canola are of importance to producers to be able to plan a pest management strategy.
Problem species are being monitored on canola at eight sites in the Swartland and Southern Cape.
