Sub-Programme 1: Breeding and selection programmes for dairy cattle
- Project: ElsD/Mul-01/01/01: The effect of selection of first lactation dairy cows in the Elsenburg Holstein and Jersey herds.
- Project: ElsD/Mul-01/01/02: Estimation of genetic parameters for live weight and the correlation with body size traits, milk yield and productive life for Jersey cows.
- Project ElsD/Mul-00: The effect of a sire selection programe based on stature on the live weight, specific conformation traits like body strength, body depth, milk yield and productive life of Jersey cows in a pasture based system (Aim to breed for small cows = <360 kg and large cows = >420 kg).
- Project ElsD/Mul-00: The effect of sire selection programme based on stature on the live weight, specific conformation traits like body strength, body depth, milk yield and productive life of Holstein cows in a pasture based system (Aim to breed small cows = <560 kg and large cows = >620 kg).
