The only rainfall recorded for the past week was 0.4mm at Steenbras Dam. The gross system storage decreased from 830 to 819 million m3 (91 %), bringing the total increase since the 1st May to 251 million m3.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts a slight chance of showers for all areas (<5mm) on Thursday and Friday ( 2nd / 3rd  December).

At present the Norwegian Meteorological Institute forecasts a slight chance of light showers on Friday (3rd  December) and Sunday (5th  December) for the Cape Town area.

Rainfall figures received for the past week at the Theewaterskloof, Wemmershoek, Steenbras, Berg River and Voelvlei Dams was 0,14,16,16 and 28mm respectively. The gross system storage decreased from 839 to 830 million m3 (92 %), bringing the total increase since the 1st May to 262 million m3.

At present the South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts a slight chance of showers (<5mm) from Monday to Friday ( 22nd to 26th November) but only in the Eastern areas, such as Riversdale.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute currently forecasts a chance of light showers for Sunday (28th November) and Wednesday (1st December) for the Cape Town area.

Rainfall figures received for the past week at the Theewaterskloof, Voelvlei, Berg River, Wemmershoek and Steenbras Dams was 2, 3, 4, 10 and 16 mm respectively.  The gross system storage decreased from 842 to 839 million m3 (93.3 %), bringing the total increase since the 1st May to 271 million m3.

At present the South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts a slight chance of showers (<5mm) on Friday/Saturday ( 19th /20th November).

The system that the Norwegian Meteorological Institute thought would bring rainfall to Cape Town around Wednesday may bring light showers (<5mm) to Riversdale and George on Tuesday ( 16th November).

No rainfall was recorded in any of the catchment areas in the past week. .  The gross system storage decreased from 850 to 844 million m3 (93.9 %), bringing the total increase since the 1st May to 276 million m3.

At present the South African Weather Service (SAWS) and the Norwegian Meteorological Institute forecast widespread rain of up to 15mm on Wednesday/Thursday (3rd/4th November) and some light drizzle on Saturday (6th November) in the South Western areas.  

The latest seasonal forecasts from the Climate System Analysis Group (CSAG) do not indicate above average rainfall for the Western Cape for the next three months.
