Farmers use lots of water for irrigation and to water animals - farmers need water to put food on your table! Most farmers use water sparingly. You can also help to preserve the country's water.
South Africa is a semi-arid country - that means that we actually receive very little rain. That is why using water carefully is so very important, and everyone's responsibility! There are many ways in which we can use water more carefully, ensuring that your children and grandchildren still have water to use and enjoy.
